In 2025, China’s border inspection agencies managed 697 million inbound and outbound crossings — an annual increase of 14.2% and a new record high, the National Immigration Administration said yesterday. International travelers accounted for over 82 million crossings, rising 26.4% year on year. Among these, visa-free entries reached nearly 30.1 million, representing 73.1% of all international arrivals and surging 49.5% from the previous year. Currently, China extends visa-free entry to citizens of 76 countries.Xinhua
