1. How do you maintain a daily routine with such a busy schedule? Travel and a busy meeting schedule can make routines challenging, so I rely heavily on planning — a consistent calendar, prioritizing sleep, regular meals and supplements (often during business or social dinners), and staying active. With this kind of workload, paying attention to health is essential. 2. What lessons from your extensive experience in gaming and technology have you incorporated into your daily life? The main lessons I’ve carried into daily life are discipline, consistency — the “grind,” and working well under pressure. In gaming and technology, deadlines are real and feedback is immediate, so you learn to break large goals into smaller, achievable steps. 3. Could you share some motivational words for people who want to start their own business or launch a startup? I’d say the most important thing is to choose a field you genuinely care about. Passion helps you stay consistent when things get difficult. Learn from your own mistakes, but also pay close attention to the mistakes others have already made — that can save you a lot of time. Learn how to present yourself clearly and how to build and maintain relationships. Don’t expect someone else to do the work for you — there are no shortcuts. And rather than chasing hype industries, stay focused and commit to what you’re building over the long term. 4. Could you share three key conclusions about life? From my journey, three things stand out: experience helps you avoid basic mistakes, health and discipline are essential in the long run, and sustainable progress matters more than chasing short-term hype. 5. What two pieces of advice would you give to Ilya Gutov from 10 years ago? First, choose the people around you very carefully. Second, always plan for things to go wrong. If something can go wrong, it usually will. |
