Qianhai unveils initiatives to boost tech industry

Last September, the Qianhai Authority introduced a series of measures aimed at fostering high-quality development of the science and technology service industry within the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone. The measures facilitate the entry and residence of global talent by streamlining visa, work and residence permit applications, and customs clearance. High-level foreign professionals are eligible to apply for permanent residence, while qualified individuals can also be granted an R visa — China’s high-end talent visa.
