Honoring the fallen: Qingming remembrances begin across China
    2026-04-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

People lay flowers in honor of Red Army soldiers who died in the Battle of the Xiangjiang River in 1934, at a memorial park in Quanzhou county, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Thursday. The event was held to mark the upcoming Qingming Festival, which falls on Sunday this year. Also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, the traditional Chinese holiday is a time for remembering ancestors and honoring the nation’s heritage. Xinhua
