Mainland unveils policy package to boost ties with Taiwan
    2026-04-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Authorities on the Chinese mainland unveiled a package of 10 policies and measures yesterday to enhance exchanges and cooperation across the Taiwan Strait, coinciding with the conclusion of a six-day visit by a delegation led by Cheng Li-wun, chairwoman of the Chinese Kuomintang party, Xinhua News Agency reported. The measures include allowing coastal areas of Fujian Province to share water, electricity, and gas supplies with Kinmen and Matsu, resuming direct flights across the Taiwan Strait, and allowing the entry of Taiwan aquaculture products. Kinmen will also be supported in using the newly built airport in Xiamen in Fujian. In addition, the mainland will promote the resumption of individual tours for residents of Shanghai and Fujian to Taiwan
