New supercharging station in Guangming
    2026-04-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Cars park at the Hongqiao Park Supercharging Station in Guangming District. As the largest vehicle-to-grid (V2G) supercharging demonstration station in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, the facility has launched its first phase of operation. It features 23 V2G chargers across 37 parking spaces, including a megawatt-level unit with a maximum charging and discharging capacity of 1,000 kW — capable of adding 400 kilometers of range in just five minutes.

The station also showcases three national firsts: China’s first 20 kV prefabricated “Power Cube” substation, the country’s first fully liquid-cooled, single-gun megawatt-level V2G charger for passenger vehicles, and the first sodium-ion battery energy storage device designed specifically for supercharging scenarios.
