Honor robot outruns human record holder
    2026-04-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A humanoid robot developed by Shenzhen-based smartphone maker Honor won a half-marathon race for robots in Beijing yesterday, finishing faster than the human world record. The victorious robot, named “Flash,” completed the 21-kilometer race in 50 minutes and 26 seconds — outperforming the human world record holder, Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo, who covered the same distance in about 57 minutes at the Lisbon road race in March. The number of participating teams increased to more than 100 this year, including participants from Germany, France and Brazil
