My first day at an intl. school
    2026-04-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Today was my first day at an international school. I woke up early in the morning, feeling a little nervous but very excited. I put on my school uniform and went to school with my parents. When we arrived at the gate, I saw many students and teachers. The school was beautiful — bright classrooms, a big playground, and lots of green trees. I walked in with a big smile.

Soon I found my classroom. My new teacher was kind and friendly. She smiled at me and welcomed me. My classmates were nice, too. They said hello and talked with me warmly, and I no longer felt lonely. In class, the teacher used both English and Chinese. She encouraged us to speak up and share our ideas. I listened carefully and tried to answer her questions. I learned many new things today, including some simple English sentences.

During break, I played with my new classmates. We talked about our hobbies and favorite things. Some students liked drawing, others liked sports. I felt very happy being with them. The school also has many interesting activities. I hope to join them and make more friends.

My first day at the international school was wonderful. It is a new start for my study life. I really like this school. I will study hard, listen to my teachers, and get along well with my classmates. I believe I will learn a lot, grow happily, and become better here.
