A passenger carrying a properly packaged bicycle boards the Beijing‑Zhangjiakou High‑Speed Railway at Beijing North Station yesterday. Starting that day, a pilot “bicycle carry‑on” service was launched on G‑series trains running between Beijing North Station and Chongli in North China’s Hebei Province on the railway. Passengers can reserve and pay for the service via the 12306 mobile app. The pilot price is 88 yuan (US$12.92) per bicycle.
