The newly renovated Huanggang Checkpoint in Futian District is scheduled to reopen July 1, according to China Media Group’s Radio the Greater Bay. Once operational, the facility will focus exclusively on travelers, ending all cargo inspection services — a shift expected to slash border clearance times from 30 minutes to just five. The upgraded hub will connect five rail lines, including Shenzhen Metro Line 7 and the spur line of Hong Kong’s future Northern Link. It is designed to handle 200,000 passengers daily and 300,000 during peak periods.
