JIANGMEN, a renowned hometown of overseas Chinese, has built a remarkable coffee industry from scratch. Leveraging its global networks, the city has created a complete industrial chain — from green coffee bean trading and smart roasting to equipment manufacturing — with an annual output value exceeding 3 billion yuan (US$443 million). An early coffee roasting hub in China, Jiangmen now imports over 300 varieties of premium green coffee beans from Brazil, Ethiopia, Colombia and beyond, and is home to 21 certified roasters with a combined annual capacity of over 10,000 tons. Beyond beans, Jiangmen hosts more than 350 local firms producing coffee equipment and components, supplying about 40% of China‘s stainless steel coffee ware and making one out of every five coffee machines exported from the country.(SD News) |
