From January to May, Beijing received 2.667 million inbound tourists, a year-on-year increase of 35.3%, signaling a sustained surge in inbound tourism. As of May 11, over 2.55 million foreign nationals entered and exited through Beijing’s ports, accounting for 32% of all inbound and outbound travelers — a 33.6% rise from the previous year. Among them, 957,000 foreign visitors entered under visa-free policies and temporary entry permits, making up 70.8% of all inbound foreign tourists.
