Different views on extreme sports
    2026-06-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Briant Pang, G10 庞嘉睿

Nowadays, extreme sports such as mountain biking, rock climbing, and skateboarding are becoming increasingly popular in Shenzhen. However, people hold very different opinions about them.

Some are big fans of extreme sports. They believe these activities help them push their own limits and build courage and confidence. Especially for young people, extreme sports offer a great way to relax and unwind from their busy study and work schedules. In addition, they can stay fit while enjoying the thrill of outdoor adventures.

On the other hand, some people are concerned about the risks involved. They argue that extreme sports are too dangerous and could lead to serious injuries or even fatal accidents. They also believe that teenagers should not attempt these sports casually without professional training and proper protective gear.

In my opinion, extreme sports are neither entirely good nor entirely bad. As long as we acquire proper skills, wear safety equipment, and follow the rules, we can enjoy the excitement while staying safe. It is important to exercise self-control and be aware of the potential risks when taking part in extreme sports.
