CHINAEU and the Shenzhen Low-Altitude Economy Industry Association have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a cooperation platform for the low-altitude economy. The agreement aims to bridge Europe’s sophisticated regulatory environment with Shenzhen’s world-leading low-altitude ecosystem. Under the MoU, both organizations will collaborate to enhance mutual understanding of European and Chinese regulatory, legal, and safety frameworks. The partnership will support pilot projects and demonstration initiatives in selected European countries, ensuring full compliance with local laws and competent authorities. Potential applications for this cooperation include aerial logistics, emergency medical services, and environmental monitoring. ChinaEU will serve as a European coordination platform to facilitate engagement with EU institutions and regulators. Meanwhile, the Shenzhen Low-Altitude Economy Industry Association will mobilize its extensive member network to foster long-term partnerships and a sustainable industrial presence in Europe. “The low-altitude economy will become one of the invisible infrastructures of the cities of the future,” said Luigi Gambardella, president of ChinaEU. “Our objective is to build a concrete bridge between Shenzhen’s industrial ecosystem and Europe’s advanced, highly regulated market, based on safety, compliance and industrial value creation.” Zhao Qi, president of the Shenzhen Low-Altitude Economy Industry Association, underscored the depth of the city’s supply chain. “Shenzhen has built one of the world’s most complete ecosystems for this sector. Through this cooperation, we aim to help our members engage with Europe in a pragmatic and long-term manner to build meaningful industrial partnerships,” he said. The MoU marks a significant milestone in Europe-China collaboration, positioning low-altitude mobility and aerial logistics as a new pillar of the global digital economy. (SD News) |
