Flying in China gets cheaper with lower fuel fees
    2026-07-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Chinese airlines have lowered fuel surcharges for domestic routes effective yesterday, according to a Xinhua News Agency report. Under the new rates, passengers are now charged 50 yuan (US$7.3) for flight segments up to 800 kilometers (497 miles) and 100 yuan for longer routes. This marks a reduction of 30 yuan and 50 yuan, respectively, from previous levels. Infants remain exempt from the fees. Children and disabled military personnel police officers continue to receive a 50% discount
