
20th Stop: Vladivostok, Russia The 20th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting convened in Vladivostok, Russia, on Sept. 8, 2012. The agenda prioritized trade liberalization, regional integration, food security, resilient supply chains, and innovative growth. Guided by the theme “Integrate to Grow, Innovate to Prosper,” the leaders issued the Vladivostok Declaration. Vladivostok, the capital of Primorsky Krai and the administrative center of Russia’s Far Eastern Federal District, serves as the region’s primary port and its preeminent economic and scientific hub. Located at the southern tip of the Muravyov-Amur Peninsula in northeastern Eurasia, the city spans 590.14 square kilometers across five districts. |
