Mt. Wutong shuts section of hiking path for repair
    2026-07-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A section of the popular Taishanjian Trail in Wutong Mountain was closed yesterday for emergency safety repairs, according to an announcement from the scenic area’s administration office. The closure is scheduled to remain in effect through Sept. 30. The office said the decision followed repeated inspections that identified multiple hazards, including slope collapses, damaged guardrails and loosened paving stones. The deterioration was attributed to years of heavy rainfall and geological disturbances. The affected segment begins at the Taishanjian Trail entrance — located approximately 650 meters uphill from Wutong Mountain North Road — and ends at the junction with Fengling Trail
