An industrial transport robot is demonstrated during an embodied intelligence industry salon and exchange event in Guangzhou on Saturday. A strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held between the Guangdong provincial government and JD.com on the day, along with the groundbreaking of the JD RoboBase project in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. According to project briefings, the facility is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2028 and commence operations in 2029, with an estimated annual output value of approximately 1.75 billion yuan (US$258 million) upon reaching full production capacity.
