Typhoon Noul brews as Shenzhen braces for heavy rain
    2026-07-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Tropical Storm Noul, churning east of the Philippines, is expected to intensify into a typhoon and bring heavy rain and strong winds to Shenzhen from July 26 to 28, the city’s meteorological observatory said Thursday. The storm could make landfall in Guangdong Province around July 26, with forecasters warning of torrential rain, localized downpours, and heightened risks of geological disasters and travel disruptions. For now, the city is in the grip of a scorching heatwave, with a yellow heat warning issued at 9 a.m. Thursday and temperatures expected to hit 35°C or above over the next three days
