
The 2026 APEC Ministerial Meeting on Forestry opened yesterday in Shenzhen. The two-day session, themed “Towards an Asia-Pacific that Advances Forest Resilience and Ecological Well-being for All,” brings together delegates from all 21 APEC member economies to discuss the future of regional ecological cooperation. The gathering is the first APEC ministerial-level ecological conference hosted by China in 15 years. Its outcomes are expected to inform forestry discussions at the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, also scheduled for Shenzhen this November |
