
A research team led by Professor Li Shukui and Associate Researcher Bian Juncao from the Faculty of Materials Science has made a major breakthrough in key materials for all-solid-state batteries. The team successfully synthesized a novel lithium thioborate (LiBS2) solid-state electrolyte and uncovered a new mechanism where dynamic “Li–S” coordination coupling enhances lithium-ion conduction. The findings have been published under the title “Dynamic Li–S Coordination Boosted Superionic Conduction in Cubic LiBS2 Solid Electrolyte” in Advanced Functional Materials, a top international journal. The Longgang-based university is the primary completing institution for this study.
