SHENZHEN MSU-BIT University (SMBU) has made outstanding achievements at the fifth Excellent Reform & Innovation Achievements & Golden Courses of Ideological and Political Theory Courses, recently announced by the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau. The Longgang-based university garnered a total of five awards across the first, second, and third prize categories, showcasing SMBU’s solid progress and innovative strength in ideological and political education. Among the accolades, the university’s rector and deputy secretary of the Party committee, Li Hezhang, won the second prize in the “First Lesson” category taught by university Party secretaries and presidents. His lecture, titled “The Great Way Forward: Injecting Youthful Vitality into Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind,” combined a global perspective with contemporary themes, exemplifying the leading role of university leadership and the institution’s commitment to the key introductory course. SMBU was also honored in the innovative course category for ideological and political theory. Two teachers from the School of Marxism, Yang Yanzhe and Shi Mingxing, both won first prizes. Yang was recognized for the course “Guangdong’s Practice in Promoting Comprehensive Rural Revitalization and Regional Coordinated Development,” while Shi was honored for the course “Science and Technology: The Light of Liberation or the Tool of Alienation.” Additionally, SMBU received two third prizes in the “Walking Ideological and Political Course” category, which focuses on experiential and practical learning. Teacher Jiang Xun was recognized for the innovative practice case “Situational Problem-Solving and Five-Body Linkage Empowerment: A Practical Case Study on ‘Manufacturing Powerhouse.’” Meanwhile, a collaborative team consisting of Wang Man, Yuan Xiaojiang, Dong Yitong, Wang Lan, and Jiang Xun was awarded for their field-learning project, “Conducting Reform and Opening-Up Learning Activities at the Site of Deng Xiaoping’s Southern Talk.” |
