A study completed by Wang Sichuan, a 2024-class undergraduate student, has been accepted by the 43rd International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML 2026) for the latest edition of paper acceptance. Wang from the Faculty of Engineering serves as the first author, while Lu Zhipeng is the corresponding author of the paper.

As one of the world’s most prestigious conferences in the field of artificial intelligence, ICML is recognized as a class-A international academic conference by the China Computer Federation (CCF). Out of 23,918 submissions received for this edition, only 26% were accepted. The accepted paper, titled “Depth over Fidelity in Fixed-Budget Noisy Evolution Strategies,” focuses on solving complex black-box optimization problems under noisy conditions.
