During this holiday, my mom and I traveled to Malaysia, and it was a truly rewarding experience.

Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia with a unique charm. What attracted me most were its countless specialty foods and precious world cultural heritage sites. In Malaysia, you can enjoy Malay, Chinese, and Indian snacks all in one place. We tasted warm bak kut teh, savory satay, sweet and creamy nasi lemak, and fresh fruit platters. Every dish carried the rich flavors of Southeast Asia, and with just one bite, you could experience something truly special.

We wandered through the historic streets of Malacca, a city full of stories. Along the way, we were often captivated by tropical forests that appeared on both sides of the highway. Endless stretches of palm trees spread out before us, full of vitality — they left a deep impression on me. Malacca was once the capital of the Malacca Sultanate, and its history fascinated me. During our trip, we also visited a durian farm, where we enjoyed lunch and afternoon tea. They served Malaysian pancakes that were nearly a meter long, and we tried local milk tea, which had an incredibly smooth texture. Durian was a must‑try — we tasted five different varieties. Some had a slightly alcoholic kick, while others were pleasantly sweet.

Throughout the journey, I took lots of photos to capture the stunning tropical scenery and all kinds of tempting local food. Every beautiful view and tasty snack was recorded in my camera. I often look back at these photos whenever I miss Malaysia’s warm weather and friendly people. This wonderful trip not only satisfied my taste buds with countless special dishes, but also broadened my horizons and gave me a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s multicultural society. I will keep these precious pictures — and the memories behind them — forever.
