VR brings China’s lunar far side mission to life
    2026-08-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Young visitors try out the immersive VR sci‑fi experience “Star Path: The Farside Promise,” which has been recently unveiled at the Sichuan Science and Technology Museum in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. As China’s first aerospace outreach IP focused on the lunar far side, it uses high‑fidelity landscape reconstruction, interactive VR, and immersive storytelling to go beyond traditional exhibit formats. The experience places audiences in a first‑person perspective aboard a lunar research base, letting them explore the far side’s unknown terrain and engage in deep‑space operations. It offers a vivid, hands‑on window into the progress and capabilities of China’s lunar exploration program.
