Shenzhen’s tech innovations become a draw for intl. tourists
    2026-08-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Visitors from Jamaica play an interactive game at the world’s first robotics 6S store in Longgang District, Shenzhen, on Tuesday. As emerging technologies become increasingly integrated into daily life, more international tourists are seeking tech-focused experiences in Chinese cities. In Shenzhen, China’s tech hub, international visitors are drawn to cutting-edge innovations, from robot services and drone-delivered takeout to local stores offering Chinese “new specialty products,” including AI-powered glasses, drones and intelligent robots. These experiences are giving tourists a unique perspective on life in the city of innovation. As of July 12, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport had handled a record 10.22 million foreign travelers, up 32.5% from a year earlier. Xinhua
