The 26th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting was held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, on Nov. 17-18, 2018 under the theme “Harnessing Inclusive Opportunities, Embracing the Digital Future.”

Port Moresby is Papua New Guinea’s capital and political center. The city has a tropical climate, with frequent rain during the wet season and relatively high temperatures year-round. Surrounded by extensive plantations and experimental farms, it exports copra, coffee, rubber, plywood, timber and gold, among other products.
