Shenzhen-based automaker BYD has completed its 10,000th flash-charging station in Longhua District, the company announced Friday. The milestone brings its domestic network to 10,000 stations across 332 Chinese cities, with another 6,000 planned overseas. BYD’s flash-charging system can top up a vehicle from 10% to 70% in about five minutes, and from 10% to 97% in roughly nine minutes.
