Train tickets for China’s upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday travel period are now on sale, China State Railway Group, the national railway operator, said. This year’s National Day holiday will last from Oct. 1 to 7, while the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday will run from Sept. 25 to 27. The travel period will span 16 days, from Sept. 23 through Oct. 8, with passenger traffic expected to peak on Oct. 1 . Passengers can book tickets via the official 12306 railway app. Those unable to immediately secure tickets for popular trains can use the railway ticketing platform’s waiting-list function. The operator said tickets added after capacity increases will first be allocated to passengers who have submitted waiting-list orders
