China donates sample from far side of Moon to UN
    2026-09-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Aarti Holla-Maini (R), director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, examines a lunar soil sample returned by China’s Chang’e-6 mission in Vienna, Austria, on Monday. China officially donated the sample to the United Nations that day, marking the first time the organization has received a lunar sample from the moon’s far side. Holla-Maini said the donation and China’s sharing of related scientific research data demonstrate that outer space is a common domain for all humanity.Xinhua
