The aircraft was the first assembled at Airbus’ new A320 family final assembly line in Tianjin, the company’s second such line in China and Asia. China Eastern operates the largest Airbus fleet on the Chinese mainland. Airbus inaugurated its first final assembly line in Tianjin in 2008, marking the company’s first commercial aircraft assembly line outside Europe. Chinese airlines now operate more than 2,300 Airbus aircraft, about one-third of them assembled and delivered in Tianjin. Xinhua |
