The 29th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 18, 2022. Under the theme “Open, Connect, Balance,” the meeting endorsed two key outcome documents: the 2022 APEC Leaders’ Declaration and the Bangkok Goals on Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy.

The declaration affirmed APEC leaders’ long-standing commitment to promoting strong, balanced, secure, sustainable and inclusive growth, as well as their commitment to realizing the APEC Putrajaya Vision of an open, dynamic, resilient and peaceful Asia-Pacific community by 2040.

The meeting was the first in-person gathering of the APEC economic leaders since 2018.
