Shenzhen to curb low-altitude flights Nov. 7-21
    2026-11-04  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Shenzhen will temporarily restrict drones and other low-flying aerial objects around the APEC summit, according to a city government notice issued yesterday. The rules take effect Nov. 7 and run through Nov. 21. They apply in Futian and Nanshan districts from Nov. 7 to 10, then across the city — except the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone — from Nov. 11  to 21. The restrictions cover civil drones, general aviation aircraft, model rockets, balloons, kites, sky lanterns and other aerial objects. Flights and launches are prohibited in affected areas during the specified periods. Flights for security, rescue, weather observation, police, broadcasting, radio monitoring and logistics missions require prior approval from relevant authorities. Violations can be reported to police at 110
