 Tang Li STARWOOD Hotels and Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel groups, is recruiting a heroine from throughout the country for “Wish Upon a Star,” the company’s commercials in China. The successful candidate will star in four commercials together with Peter Ho, a popular Taiwan actor and singer, and win a luxury package of prizes. Applicants for the “Wish Upon a Star” heroine are expected to be aged at 18-30, with acting experience and an appealing look. The selection will be made from online and an audition. To apply online, each applicant shall upload a two-minute video, in which the applicant makes a self-introduction and performs a required scene from “Wish Upon a Star.” The video will then be uploaded to www.youku.com before Feb. 24. Two candidates will be selected from the online platform. An audition will also be conducted in Shanghai on Feb. 26 and a judging panel will evaluate the applicants’ acting and other capabilities to select two other candidates. The heroine will be finally chosen from the four candidates. Apart from the invaluable acting experience, the winner will get two return tickets between Shanghai and Bangkok and a four-night free stay with breakfast for two at a Luxury Room in Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel in Bangkok. The selection initiative is part of Starwood’s “Made for China” campaign, which aims to offer tailored services to guests in China and further promote Starwood hotel brands. The campaign also includes the launch of a new Chinese online booking system. |
