China Lodge: Classic dim sum brings back old memories
    2011-04-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FOR Cantonese, sipping tea and having dim sum is part of their everyday routine. Even Westerners are familiar with the Cantonese custom named “yum cha,” literally meaning “to drink tea.”

To honour such traditional Chinese culture, China Lodge of Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is to present an array of classic dim sum to diners.

Starting this spring the Cantonese restaurant, China Lodge, will provide tasty dim sum and the perfect setting for diners to enjoy the authentic dim sum lunch experience. The selection is prepared by chef de cuisine, Mai Run Hua who has over 20 years of cooking experience. He believes dim sum’s true meaning is “to touch your heart” in Chinese language.

All the dim sum is made of the freshest ingredients and the most authentic cooking style to ensure that the classic taste is preserved.

Har gao — wonderful steamed prawn dumpling with bamboo shoot; char siu bao — steamed barbecued pork buns as well as the abalone sui mai and many more selections that can not only satisfy your taste buds but also bring back some sweet memories.

Another must-try is the China Lodge signature dessert — mango pudding, which is served in a classic Chinese porcelain bowl. It is the perfect finale of a sumptuous dim sum feast.

With a total of 14 private rooms spread across the 35th and 36th floor of Grand Hyatt Shenzhen, each room of China Lodge captures either the Shenzhen skyline view or the mountain view of Hong Kong.

To provide high-level personalized service, an independent pantry, powder room and cloakroom are equipped in each of the private rooms.

Whether it is an important business lunch or relaxing gathering with friends, China Lodge can surely provide you and your company with a unique and pleasant dining experience.
