Langham Shenzhen to recruit talent
    2012-01-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A NEW luxury hotel the Langham Shenzhen is hosting a three-day recruitment fair until this Sunday at East Pacific International Center, Futian District.

The fair aims to attract potential talent ahead of the hotel’s opening in the second quarter of this year and to support the property’s long-term development.

Located in Chegongmiao in Futian District, the Langham Shenzhen is the third Langham hotel in China, following two properties under the same brand in Shanghai. It will form part of a complex that includes serviced apartments, upscale retail and commercial space, making it ideal for business and leisure travelers.

The Langham brand has been known for its elegance and the quality of its service since its establishment in London in 1865, according to Sven Isberg, general manager of the Langham Shenzhen. “The legacy of this European hospitality is set to be valued and preserved in the dynamic city of Shenzhen,” he said.

The new Langham hotel in Shenzhen will offer over 350 jobs during this recruitment fair, spanning various functions, with comprehensive and multilevel requirements for different positions.

Instead of a traditional recruitment process, the hotel will adopt a new evaluation method which engages candidates in team activities. Candidates will be organized into groups of six people to complete a task.

“With the vision of ‘Know Our Guests, Build Great Memories,’ the Langham expects team members to deliver the most spirited service to our guests, based on their commitment to the hotel, virtue of persistence and teamwork ability,” emphasized by Isberg. He also says the Langham Hospitality Group places great emphasis on recruitment and training and promotes a people-oriented corporate culture. (Maggie Tang)
