THE Westin Shenzhen Nanshan recently appointed David Cuddon as its new general manager.

    Born in Australia, Cuddon started his 40-year hospitality career in a well-known restaurant in 1975. He then moved on to Starwood in Australia in 1988. He once worked as the senior manager and general manager for Starwood properties in Singapore, Thailand and South Korea.

    Cuddon and the hotels he has worked for have received many prestigious awards, including “Hotel of the Year” and “Highest Guest Service Index,” and one was the runner-up for the “Highest GOP Improvement” award presented by Starwood Asia Pacific.

    It’s the first time Cuddon has worked in China. He said he was delighted to come to China and work in Shenzhen, “one of the most dynamic cities in the country.”(SD News)
