Savor white truffle dishes at The Langham, Shenzhen
    2014-11-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FROM Nov. 24 to 30, The Duke’s at The Langham, Shenzhen will offer its guests precious white truffle-made dishes.

Imported from Italy, the white truffle is made into delicate dishes with egg white, potato, goose liver, lobster and other fresh vegetables. The chefs also add white truffle cream to highlight the long-lingering flavor of the truffles. In addition, guests will be served homemade tagliolini with white truffles. The five courses will include a total of 10 grams of white Alba truffle.

The white truffle has fascinated people for thousands of years with its tantalizing taste and aroma, which, once experienced, can never be forgotten. The Langham’s white truffles are grown in the Italian region of Piedmonte, in the historical city of Alba, world-famous for the quality of the unique and intense truffle. In 1825, Brillat-Savarin called the truffle “the diamond of the kitchen.”

The special offer is priced at 1,288 yuan (US$210.2) per person.
