Enjoy Korean food at The Show Kitchen, Grand Hyatt Shenzhen
    2015-04-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Show Kitchen at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen has welcomed three guest chefs from Grand Hyatt Seoul who will share authentic flavors of South Korea to Shenzhen foodies from April 12 to 26.

During their visit, the chefs, led by Joo Se-taek, will create a special menu, featuring famous dishes from the major regions of South Korea, each of which has its own distinctive culinary tradition and flavor. Available during lunch and dinner, the feast will feature a wide selection of appetizers that Korean cuisine is known for. Guests will also be treated to a showcase of Korean barbequed specialties, ranging from the celebrated kalbi gui (grilled beef short ribs) and doiji kimchi mali (kimchi roll with pork belly), to seafood items such as kanjang yangnyum saewoo (soy chili marinated king prawns). Another highlight not to be missed is the traditional bibim bap (steamed rice with beef and mixed vegetables).

Joo has more than 20 years of culinary experience at Grand Hyatt Seoul, with expertise in a variety of Korean and Western cuisines. He is a recipient of the Grand Prize at the 1994 Seoul International Australian Culinary Competition. Chefs Nam Dae-won and Kim Sung-hwan have more than 10 years of culinary experience.

The weekday lunch buffet is priced at 248 yuan (US$39.9) per person from Monday to Friday, and 328 yuan per person Saturday and Sunday. The dinner buffet is priced at 368 yuan per person from Monday to Thursday and 418 yuan per person from Friday to Sunday. All prices are subject to a 15-percent service charge. Children aged from 6 to 12 years enjoy a 50-percent discount while those under 6 years dine free.
