Seafood market at Show Kitchen
    2015-11-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Show Kitchen at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is presenting a sensational weekend seafood extravaganza that is broad in variety and flavor.

Bursting with the fresh taste of the ocean, the Seafood Market includes over 40 types of seafood served on ice, including specialties prepared in Chinese, Western and Japanese styles from the restaurant’s lively open kitchens.

The showstopper of the Seafood Market is the 35-kilogram whole Pacific yellowfin tuna that is freshly imported every weekend.

The feast opens in dramatic fashion as chefs filet the whole tuna every Friday evening, promptly at 6 p.m.

Guests who arrive at this time will not only be treated to this display of culinary expertise but also have first dibs on their favorite cuts of toro and the opportunity to savor exceptional cuts such as Hoho-niku and Kam-toro from the cheek of the fish, normally reserved for the most rarefied Japanese restaurants.

In addition to this testament to the freshness of the seafood selection, other sashimi selections include salmon, hamachi, white tuna, Argentinian red shrimp, octopus and sea urchin.

During the seafood promotion, the Show Kitchen’s raw bar will be filled with seafood delicacies from around the world, including live oysters flown in from the United States and shucked to order, Alaskan king crab legs, Boston lobster, New Zealand abalone and Australian tiger crabs among many other varieties of shellfish, crustaceans and clams.

Premium seafood specialties will be prepared in various styles by chefs in the open kitchens. From the Chinese kitchen, guests can tuck into a rich selection of delicacies cooked in authentic Chinese style, such as the stars of this season - hairy crab, braised sea cucumber with abalone sauce and steamed South China Sea jumbo grouper.

The weekend Seafood Market is available for lunch every Saturday and Sunday between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for 488 yuan per person and dinner every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night between 5:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for 568 yuan per person. A selection of wines is available to accompany the seafood delicacies at just 168 yuan per bottle.
