Team building programs for MICE travelers
    2017-07-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

LOCATED in China’s southern tropical paradise of Hainan Island, The Ritz-Carlton, Haikou is a new, modern oasis for business travelers seeking a first-class venue for their meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE).

Understanding the diverse needs of its guests, The Ritz-Carlton, Haikou now offers specialized team building programs with a variety of interactive activities on the hotel’s sprawling Fairway Lawn.

“For business travelers who stay with us at The Ritz-Carlton, Haikou we take ‘memories on the green’ to new levels by offering exciting team building programs that encourage teams to work together towards success,” said Christopher Sommers, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Haikou. “With such beautiful weather and blue, sunny skies, we fully utilize Haikou’s stunning environment for personally tailored, off-the-beaten-path experiences.”

Guests may choose from two to four-hour packages starting at 350 yuan (US$52) per person, which include a variety of fun yet challenging activities and tasks out on the hotel’s 2,000 square meter manicured Fairway Lawn.

Each member’s active participation is required and the warm up begins with the creation of separate teams with team names, captains, slogans and the design of a special team flag.

Interactive activities on the roster include games such as “Tug-of-War” in which two teams must utilize their physical strength to pull the other side across the line via a long rope; a bridge building game in which teams must build makeshift bridges across the lawn to avoid falling off into an imaginary pit of lava; or a puzzle challenge in which team members must combine their wits and intellect to solve a wooden puzzle in time.

A number of other fun exercises that will test the stamina and cooperativeness of each team are also offered in the team building program including mini golf challenges, archery competitions, plank walks and more.

To ensure each guest’s safety and rapid response in case of unexpected circumstances, two safety vehicles will be on standby nearby the venue.

The luxury golf resort also features 3,500 square meters of banquet facilities for conferences and celebrations. Spaces include a 1,350 square meter grand ballroom, two junior ballrooms (275 square meters each), seven meeting rooms and one boardroom.

Reminiscent of a classic golf manor, the ballrooms feature ivory color painted wall paneling and three-dimensional floral motifs hinting a botanical fairyland. Royal blue tones, antique mirrors and pleated handcrafted details further add dramatic elements to the ballroom interior.

For exquisite wedding ceremonies, company events or product launches, The Ritz-Carlton, Haikou’s spacious grand ballroom also impresses guests with a 515 square meter foyer, fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a conference service team assisting in catering and entertainment arrangements.

After a long day of team building or events, guests may retreat to the Club Lounge located on the 19th floor, where exclusive and elevated services are paired with a classic touch of residential ambience.(SD News)
