An art affair at MO Hong Kong
    2018-03-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

MANDARIN Oriental, Hong Kong is delighted to present an artful experience, providing guests with a spectrum of privileged access to the Art Central Hong Kong and Art Basel Hong Kong events, set to take place later this month.

The iconic hotel is ideally situated adjacent to the Central Harborfront, which will be home to the fourth edition of Art Central. This fair will feature over 100 leading international galleries showcasing the next generation of emerging and established artists from across the globe.

At the same time, just a short taxi ride away, Art Basel at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center will bring 248 participating galleries from 32 countries and territories together for its sixth year. The show will offer different forms of artistic expression for visitors to enjoy.

Adding to the already-stellar art line-up, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong will partner with Art Advisory CONSIGG to transform Michelin-starred Mandarin Grill & Bar into an exclusive gallery. Guests will be immersed in the world of Konstantin Bessmertny, one of the most exciting artists in Asia today, through unique pieces that combine humor and candor.

To enhance the Bessmertny experience further, guests will have the opportunity to dine on palatable interpretations created by the hotel’s executive chef Robin Zavou. His dishes have been inspired by some of the most acclaimed works of Bessmertny, such as “The Last Dumpling,” “French Connections” and “One of You.”

The Art Affair room program is available from March 25 to April 2 and includes accommodation for a minimum of three nights, a day pass for two people to Art Central Hong Kong (March 27-April 1), a day pass for two people to Art Basel Hong Kong (March 29-31), daily breakfast at Mandarin Grill & Bar (Monday to Friday), Clipper Lounge (Monday to Sunday), or Café Causette (Monday to Sunday) for up to two persons.(Tang Li)
