A DELEGATION of six chefs from Grand Hyatt Shenzhen together with Flying Radio FM 97.1 were invited by the Chinese Embassy in Spain to visit the Latin-European country for the Spring Festival, representing China to present Cantonese cuisine to Spanish locals and promoting the culture of Chinese cuisine. This visit was the second time Grand Hyatt Shenzhen has represented Chinese culinary tradition and brought Chinese delicacies and Cantonese cuisine onto the global stage since they were invited to last year’s Montréal en Lumiére in Canada. The six chefs in attendance, all of whom work at the Chinese Restaurant and China Lodge, have a combined working experience of over 70 years. Each one of them specializes in a different type of cuisine. During the 12 days in Spain, the chefs catered luncheons and banquets for the Chinese ambassadors to Spain and local mainstream media. They also gave live cooking demos at the cultural exchange center and cooked up tailored menus for the guests. The Chinese cuisine chef team and their signature dishes wowed Spanish foodies and won the acclaim of Spanish media and the Chinese Embassy in Spain. Grand Hyatt Shenzhen offers more than 2,769 square meters of dedicated meeting and event space, including a 1,050-square-meter pillarless ballroom with an 8.8-meter ceiling and three meeting rooms of various sizes. The space can accommodate eight to 1,410 guests. Salon du Theater is a unique meeting and catering space that comes with an open kitchen where chefs cook dishes in front of guests. And if you are hosting a more light-hearted event, Jun Mansion would be a perfect choice. The two-storied mansion-style space is equipped with six meeting halls illuminated by natural lighting and one penthouse kitchen, which is surely suited to meet all your guests’ various needs.(Yang Mei) |
