Low-carbon lifestyle promoted
    2018-03-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SHENZHEN Marriott Hotel Golden Bay participated in Earth Hour, a worldwide event organized by the World Wildlife Fund, on March 24 to reverberate the importance of environmental awareness.

This year, Earth Hour focused on “making a promise for the planet” and aimed to encourage individuals to make simple changes towards protecting our planet.

Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Golden Bay launched a series of activities including seaside outdoor yoga, a cycling event and a light-dimming ceremony in response to the day’s call to promote a low-carbon lifestyle, demonstrating Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Golden Bay’s commitment to this good cause.

Did you know that Golden Bay has ranked among the top-eight bays in China, and is known as one of the warmest and most brilliant vacation destinations across South China? Here, guests enjoy the cozy simplicity of a low-carbon lifestyle, reduce stress and improve those sedentary habits.

Participants awaken the whole body to the sound of the sea through seaside yoga under a velvety sky. After yoga, Golden Bay Kitchen will prepare detox drinks and organic bread to rejuvenate your every cell.

Dapeng New District is considered home to the true origin of Shenzhen, a small fishing village dating back to Ming dynasty (1368-1644).

During the cycling event, participants set off from the hotel and ride past some iconic scenic spots in Dapeng such as Guanyin Mountain and Dapeng Fortress. Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Golden Bay also launched the Explore Dapeng package, conducive for a low-carbon vacation.(Amber Zhang)
