Hotel offers graceful ways to spend Mother’s Day
    2018-04-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FOUR Seasons Hotel Hong Kong knows how to put a smile on a discerning mother’s face. For the first two weeks of May, the hotel will collaborate with Lalique, a luxury French crystal ware manufacturer, to offer an elegantly themed afternoon tea sets at The Lounge. It’s a divine afternoon for ladies to indulge in the works of the hotel’s chefs and exquisite crystal ware.

Lalique is synonymous with crystals and their timeless creations epitomize unparalleled craftsmanship, turning them into a surefire collector’s favorite. This year marks their 130th anniversary, making it a perfect moment for reinterpreting the brand’s swallow motif, a symbol of happiness and freedom, in their latest collection. To mark the occasion, executive pastry chef Ringo Chan has crafted a selection of decadent sweets and pastries as part of the afternoon tea set in homage to the artistry of Lalique for this year’s Mother’s Day.

From May 5 to 13 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, guests will be able to admire their latest celebratory crystal collection at The Lounge while enjoying the afternoon tea set crafted by Chan.

Along with scones and a posh tea selection, Chan has created new desserts drawing inspiration from Lalique. The champagne and vanilla strawberry cake is a gourmet representation of transparency in crystals and the brand’s aesthetic in light. The Sicilian lemon olive oil cake pop attributes founder René Lalique’s inspiration from flora, fauna and the female form.

Mothers who visit The Lounge for afternoon tea during the promotional period will receive a complimentary scented candle from Lalique as a keepsake.
