INTERCONTINENTAL Hotels Group (IHG) has recently announced the grand opening of Crown Plaza Sanya Haitang Bay Resort, which is the group’s third hotel in Sanya and another starship hotel of the Crown Plaza Hotel and Resort.

The opening of the hotel demonstrates the group’s expanding presence in Hainan Province and answers to IHG’s developmental strategy of reaching more tourist destinations.

Located in Haitang Bay, the newly opened hotel boasts magnificent seaview and the country’s rare resources of a famous coastal tourist resort. The hotel is convenient in traffic and is next to Sanya International Duty-Free Mall. The hotel has 405 spacious and exquisitely-decorated rooms and suites with spectacular seaviews.

The hotel is designed to cater to business and leisure needs and is also perfect venues for conventions and wedding receptions.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of Crown Plaza brand. After over 30 years’ development, Crown Plaza has become a leader among high-end hotels and is synonymous for high quality.

By the first quarter of 2018, Crown Plaza has a total of 414 hotels and 88 projects under construction worldwide, of which nearly 90 hotels and 40 projects under construction are in China.

Last year, the brand launched the “Upgrade Program” worldwide, ushering Crown Plaza’s “Modern Era.” As part of the program, Crown Plaza launched “WorkLife” guestrooms, the first batch of physical guestrooms preceding the rollout of a brand new design philosophy.
