RAFFLES Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of their latest property in Shenzhen. Slated to open by the end of 2018, the 168-room hotel occupies the top floors of a 72-story tower in the One Shenzhen Bay development.

On Sept. 7 and 8, Raffles Shenzhen held its first mass recruitment fair at One Shenzhen Bay offering 300 positions in management and hotel operations for local talents looking for new challenges and opportunities in the luxury hospitality industry. A total of over 3,000 applications were received.

Situated in Nanshan District, Raffles Shenzhen is strategically located in One Shenzhen Bay Financial Center with direct connections to Qianhai Economic Zone, which makes it within easy reach of both the financial district and central Hong Kong.

“Shenzhen is one of China’s largest financial hubs in addition to being a major technology development center. The city also enjoys an advantageous location with key neighboring cities such as Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macao and Zhuhai. It is an honor to lead the new Raffles project to the Shenzhen market,” said Christian Sack, general manager of Raffles Shenzhen.

Sack explained that, as part of Raffles’ 130-year tradition, guests staying at the hotel can look forward to tasteful architecture and design, attentive service and unparalleled culinary offerings.

“I am delighted to see many talented individuals from Shenzhen and the region interested in joining us, and I welcome their input. Through our ‘Feel Welcome’ program, we will ensure that all new employees can access a wide range of opportunities to further their career path,” said Sack.

Designed by renowned New York-based architect Kohn Pederson Fox Associates, the property evokes an emotional splendor. Its 168 generous guestrooms and suites each featuring state-of-the-art technology overlooks panoramic skyline of the city.

Raffles Shenzhen will tempt food lovers with six restaurants and bars including the brand’s signature Long Bar, traditional Cantonese, sophisticated Japanese and decadent buffets. For celebrations or business endeavors, the 3,000 square meters of meeting and ballroom spaces can make any event special. For a complete rejuvenation and wellness, guests can relax at Raffles Spa by enjoying sensory treatments or work up a sweat at Raffles Fitness.

Over the years, the Raffles brand has become equated with singularly memorable stories unique to each destination.

From tranquil resorts to dynamic urban hotels, each property offers an oasis of calming charm enhanced by distinctive culture and lifestyle in the destination.

Its legendary service combines consistency and personalization to ensure that Raffles delivers high quality experiences for guests time after time while catering to individual needs. Like its sister properties, Raffles Shenzhen promises luxury that evokes emotion — a feeling of coming home to old friends.
