The St. Regis Zhuhai to open in October
    2018-09-21  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE St. Regis Zhuhai, another masterpiece from the St. Regis brand in South China, recently announced its Oct. 18 grand opening date.

Ideally located on the waterfront of Wanzai, Zhuhai, the hotel is just across the water from Macao.

Occupying the pinnacle of iconic city landmark Zhuhai Tower from the 41st to 72nd floors, the hotel enjoys a breathtaking view of the vast Greater Bay, Zhuhai and Macao landscapes surrounding it.

As the 10th St. Regis hotel to open in China, the hotel curates exquisite experiences for discerning luminaries by recrafting brand classics for modern tastes.

The St. Regis Zhuhai is already redefining brand legacies. Renowned classics such as the Bloody Mary, afternoon tea and evening ritual have been reinvigorated for this city of romance.

The St. Regis Bloody Mary cocktail is reinvented using Zhuhai’s very own “Fisher Girl” oyster sauce and imperial plum wine, and renamed the “Pearl Mary.” Afternoon tea will be a reminder of the golden days of the Gilded Age when Mrs. Astor set the trend for exclusive, upper-class parties as well as the age-old elegance of British afternoon tea.

The evening ritual, inspired by Napoleon’s historic victories and first introduced at The St. Regis New York before becoming a signature ritual for The St. Regis, is remarkably reinterpreted in Zhuhai — the service team changes their uniform from a day uniform to evening garb, and toasts to all the guests in celebrate of transition from day to night.

Designed by Wilson Associate, each guestroom features rich St. Regis signature elements such as diamond and jewel-themed patterns.

The hotel offers 251 guest accommodations, including 34 suites and one 1,100-square-meter Presidential Suite. Plush St. Regis beds with crisp white linens, exemplary furnishings and fixtures, and spa-like comforts in the well-appointed bathrooms make these warm retreats to return to at the day’s end.

Guests will embark on an extraordinary gastronomic journey guided by the “Masters of Flavors” at The St. Regis Zhuhai, led by executive chef Ramon Turmo, who has rich experience in both luxury hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants.

Dining options draw upon inspiration from the first-class dining saloons seen on board cruise vessels typically set aside for the wealthy in the early 1900’s. Yan Ting is the opulent address for modern Cantonese fine dining, while The St. Regis Bar exudes an aura of sophisticated mixology and elegant afternoon tea with classic jazz music. LaBrezza, led by Michele Tenzone, who has worked in seven Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, delights guests with organic, modern Italian fare.
