Indulge in Min cuisine at SZ Shekou Nanhai
    2019-01-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

CAN you believe there is a meat-based dish that entices even vegetarian monks from their temples to partake in it? Though this maybe legendary, foodies who want have a bite of this dish, called “Buddha jumps over the wall,” shouldn’t miss the Min Cuisine Festival at Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai.

As one of the eight major cuisines in China, Min cuisine from China’s Fujian Province features a sweet and sour taste and emphasis on the freshest of seafood such as sea cucumber, sea clam and oysters.

At noon, guests can enjoy the classical Min-style dishes such as Buddha jumps over the wall, braised sea clam with chicken soup, batter-fried butterfly shrimp while enjoying the Min-style snacks. Guests can enjoy the Buddha jumps over the wall and other Min-style seafood dishes such as sea worm jelly and Min crisp fried pork at the dinner buffet. Private rooms, which are comfortable and intimate, provide excellent dining options for friends and family gatherings.
