Michelin-rated restaurants in GZ
    2019-07-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

CANTONESE food is arguably one of the most wide-spread and celebrated delicacies from China. With the announcement of the Michelin Guide Guangzhou 2019, the well-received cuisine further cements its culinary influence and the freshly selected Michelin-honored eateries will undoubtedly tantalize the palates of food lovers.

This year, a Michelin two-star restaurant appears on the Guangzhou list for the first time, as Jiang by Chef Fei has pushed itself to a new echelon. Meanwhile, three new one-star eateries are announced, bringing the total number of Michelin-starred restaurants in the city to 11.

The restaurants worth a stop as praised by Michelin include BingSheng Mansion, BingSheng Private Kitchen, Famous Cuisine, Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine, Jade River, Lai Heen, Lei Garden (Yuexiu), Song, Wisca (Haizhu), and Yu Yue Heen.

The inaugural Michelin Guide Guangzhou 2018 was launched in December 2017, which made Guangzhou the second city on the Chinese mainland to earn the distinction. Eight restaurants got Michelin stars in the first Guangzhou guide.(Zhang Yu)
